PURPOSE:To remove the contamination of a feed roller or a resist roller due to the transfer of ink from a medium to be recorded or the adhesion of ink mist and to prevent the damage of the function taking the paper feed timing and emitting timing of the resist roller by providing a cleaning means for removing the ink bonded to the peripheral surface of the feed roller in the state brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the feed roller in a slidable manner. CONSTITUTION:A medium 20 to be recorded wherein ink is not yet dried is pulled back in the direction shown by an arrow E. In this case, even when ink is transferred to the peripheral surface of a resist roller 1b from the medium 20 to be recorded or the ink emitted during the formation of an image is suspended as ink mist to be allowed to flow by the air generated by a fan to adhere to the respective peripheral surfaces of a pair of resist rollers 1a, 1b, the ink or ink mist bonded to the peripheral surfaces of a pair of the resist rollers 1a, 1b is absorbed into the absorbing pads 5a, 5b of respective cleaning means 6a, 6b from said peripheral surfaces by the rotation of a pair of the resist rollers 1a, 1b. Therefore, the newly supplied medium to be recorded is not contaminated with the ink or ink mist. |
