<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject compound comprising the reaction product of a specific polymerized polyhydric phenol with an epihalohydrin, having high heat resistance, capable of giving cured products having low hygroscopicity and useful for sealing, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound comprises the reaction product of an epihalohydrin with a polymerized polyhydric phenol compound obtained by condensing an aldehyde or ketone compound with a cyclic terpene skeleton- containing polyhydric phenol compound, which is obtained by addition-reacting a phenol compound with a cyclic terpene compound. The cyclic terpene skeleton- containing polyhydric phenol compound is preferably obtained by addition- reacting 2 moles of the phenol compound with 1 mole of the cyclic terpene compound.</p> |
