PURPOSE:To attain this inexpensive electrophotographic recorder without having printing stain by providing a toner carrying roller having plural parts with high rigidity in the circumferential direction of a metallic shaft and a rib in pressurized contact with the toner carrying roller, inside a waste toner box. CONSTITUTION:Toner remaining on a photosensitive drum 1 is scratched off by a cleaner blade 3, inserted into the hole of the surface of the toner carrying roller 4, and sent into the waste toner box 6 by the rotation of the photosensitive drum 1 in the direction of (C). When the part 4a having the high rigidity of the roller 4 is abutted on the rib 6a, the part 4a is deformed, and a part 4b having low rigidity coming next is compressed. Therefore, the toner filled into the hole 4b is pushed outside. Further, as the roller 4 is rotated, the part 4a rides over the rib 6a, so that a vibration at that time is transmitted to the part 4b, and further, the toner filled into the hole of the part 4b is pushed outside. Further, as the roller 4 is rotated, the deformation of the part 4b is restored, the volume of the part 4b is restored, as well, and the hole has an empty state, so that the roller 4 recovers capability for absorbing the toner, again. Thus, the leakage of the waste toner from a gap between the box 6 and drum 1 is prevented, and the printing stain is eliminated. |
