<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the display characteristics of the liquid crystal display element from changing even if the current-voltage characteristics of a nonlinear resistor changes by providing a constant resistor in series to the nonlinear resistance element. CONSTITUTION:The nonlinear resistor 3 is provided on a thin-film two-terminal element connecting electrode 2 and a lead electrode 4 and a constant resistor connecting electrode 5 are formed at both ends of the lower electrode in the form of intersecting orthogonally with the lower electrode so as to have the same intersecting area with the lower electrode thereon. The constant resistor connecting electrode 5 is connected through the constant resistor 6 to a picture element electrode 7 to constitute the structure in which the two thin-film two- terminal element and the constant resistor and the picture element electrode are connected in series. The current-voltage characteristics near the driving voltage of the current-voltage characteristics adding the characteristics of the nonlinear resistor and the constant resistor do not change even if the current- voltage characteristics of the nonlinear resistor change. The display characteristics of the liquid crystal do not, therefore, change even if the current- voltage characteristics of the nonlinear resistor change.</p> |
