PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent deodorizing capacity and persistency by impregnating a soln. contg. plant components having a deodorizing effect into a hollow cylindrical cartridge filter element. CONSTITUTION:The hollow cylindrical cartridge filter element is formed by using the thermally fusible conjugate fibers, for the fiber component 1 of which a high melting component, such as polypropylene, is used and for the sheath component 2 of which a low melting component, such as polyethylene, is used, and by thermally fusing only the sheath component 2 by heating. The soln. contg. the deodorant essentially consisting of the juice of, for example, persimmons is impregnated in this filter element. While the web consisting of such thermally fusible conjugate fibers is heated, the web is taken up on an iron core and thereafter, the core is removed and the web is cut after cooling to form the hollow cylindrical cartridge filter element. Consequently, the air deodorizing filter having the excellent deodorizing capacity and persistency is produced. |
