INSTALLATION FOR PRODUCING MERCURY FROM LUMINENESCENT LAMPS

The set-up is applicable in the extraction of mercury from rejected or used fluorescent lamps. It ensures increased efficiency and minimal energy losses and eliminates the release of mercury vapours to the atmosphere. The set-up consists of a crusher with a charging mechanism, a furnace, a superheater, consisting of a case with a heating element and a gas cleaning system. The superheater is connected to a crusher via a pipe extension and is internally equipped with a filter. The set-up is also equipped with a flexible membrane, placed within the pipe extension and a gate sluice, installed between the crusher and the furnace.
