<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the probability of misrecognition of the handwritten symbols by making a user register an optional handwritten symbol is user's own style of writing. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate input device 11 is provided together with a input data processing part 12, a handwritten symbol register part 13, a registered symbol storage part 14, a handwritten symbol recognizing part 15, an inter- pattern distance calculation part 16, a command executing part 17, a data storage part 18, a display control part 19, and a display device 20. A user inputs an optional handwritten symbol and registers it together with a command or the data corresponding to the input symbol. When a handwritten symbol is inputted so that an electronic computer issues a command or inputs the data. Thus the input handwritten symbol is recognized by reference to the handwritten symbol that is already registered, and a command to be carried out is decided. As a result, an input handwritten editing symbol is never errorneously recognized.</p> |
