PURPOSE:To make sound easy to be recognized surely by inhibiting the adding of reverberations to a sound signal from a receiver by a reverberations inhibiting means when a received broadcast wave is a monaural system. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic device 50 provides a receiving part 1 to receive a broadcast wave and to output a sound signal, an acoustic reproducing part 2 to reproduce the sound signal from the receiving part 1 as sound, a microcomputer 3 to transmit receiving frequency data to the receiving part 1 and to transmit mode setting data to the acoustic reproducing part 2 and so on. Then, a monaural broadcast detecting means 1 to detect whether the system of the sound signal is a monaural system or not and a reverberations inhibiting means 2 to inhibit the adding of a reverberations component when it is the monaural system based on the detected result of the monaural broadcast detecting means 1 are provided. Thus, presence is improved since the reverberations are added in the music programs and so on of a stereo system and the sound is recognized surely since the reverberations are not added in the sound program of the monaural system. |
