PURPOSE:To produce a beefsteak plant beverage of bright color, excellent in aroma and refreshing taste and good for health by boiling beefsteak plant leaves together with water, adding sweetness to the resultant soup and then adding carbonated water thereto. CONSTITUTION:Beefsteak plant leaves are washed with water, which is removed therefrom. About 30 g resultant beefsteak plant leaves is placed in 1l water and boiled by heating. About 400 g sweetener such as crystal sugar, white sugar or honey is added thereto and boiled until the sweetener is completely dissolved. The resultant soup is subsequently filtered and cooled and an adequate amount, e.g. about an equal amount of carbonated water is subsequently added thereto. |
