PURPOSE:To improve flame retardancy, transparency, and degradability by compounding a specific modified PE with a chlorinated polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:Ethylene, or if necessary a mixture of ethylene with another ethylenically unsatd. compd. (e.g. vinyl acetate), is copolymerized with 0.5-10wt.% CO to give a modified PE. 100 pts.wt. said PE is compounded with 10-100 pts.wt. chlorinated polyolefin having a chlorine content of 20-50wt.% and selected from the group consisting of a chlorinated PE, a chlorinated PP, a chlorinated ethylene-CO copolymer, and a chlorinated ethylene-CO-ethylenically unsatd. compd. terpolymer and, if necessary, a filler, an anti-fogging agent, a lubricant, a water condensation preventive, a colorant, etc. |
