PURPOSE:To easily connect pipes so that no beads are generated and excellent connection strength is obtained by a method wherein the fitting protruding part of a pipe joint is fitted in the fitting recessed part of a pipe to connect the pipe joint to the pipe and welding the connection part by heating the same by the heater arranged to the outer periphery of the connection part. CONSTITUTION:The fitting protruding part 21 formed to the outer peripheral surface of the end part of a pipe joint 2 made of a thermoplastic resin is fitted in the fitting recessed part 11 formed to the inner peripheral surface of the end part of a pipe 1 made of a thermoplastic resin to mutually fit the pipe 1 and the pipe joint 2. One set of semicylindrical heaters 3, 3 are closed around the connection part of the pipe 1 and the pipe joint 2 from the outside to cover the connection part. When a current is supplied to the heaters 3, the fitting recessed part of the pipe 1 and the fitting protruding part of the pipe joint 2 are mutually welded. By this structure, since the pipe joint 2 relatively hard to melt is positioned inside and reaction force is generated on the side of the pipe joint corresponding to the contraction force of the pipe, the generation of beads is suppressed and excellent adhesive strength is obtained. |
