PURPOSE:To prevent disconnection by an external force and vibration and to improve workability at the time of assembly by providing a holding member for holding a substrate on a probe head. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 22 is housed in a probe case 12 and various kinds of electronic elements 32a to 32c necessary for the probe 10 are mounted and fixed to this board. The terminals 34a, 34b, of the electronic parts 32a to 32c... project to the rear surface of the substrate 22 and an external connecting cord 16 is connected via wirings 36 to the substrate 22 so that the signals can be transferred to an received from the electronic elements. The external connecting cord 16 is fixed by a fastener 28 to a holding plate 20. The wirings 38 from the substrate 22 are connected to an ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving element 46 of a probe head 14. Screws 24 are inserted into screw holes 40 of the substrate 22 and screw holes 26 of the holding plate 20 and are fastened by nuts 42. The substrate 22 is fixed to the holding plate 20. The holding plate 20 is fixed to the probe head 14 and is fixed to the probe 10. The movement of the substrate 22 by the force and vibration from the outside in the probe case 12 is prevented and the generation of the disconnection by the movement of the substrate 22 is prevented.
