PURPOSE:To prevent a photoconductive sheet from being damaged by the fiber of a cleaning brush by always bringing the cleaning brush into contact with a joint part where the photoconductive sheet does not exist when a photosensitive drum is stopped. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive drum 2 is formed by winding the photoconductive sheet 1 around a cylindrical supporting shaft body 4 and there is the joint part 5, where the sheet 1 does not exist, on the surface of the drum 2. Then, the position of the joint part 5 on the drum 2 is detected so as to surely stop the drum 2 at a position where the joint part 5 is brought into contact with the cleaning brush 8 in the case that the drum 2 is stopped after the finish of printing. Thus, the photoconductive sheet 1 is saved from the damage received when the tip of the fiber 9 of the brush is bitten into the sheet 1 while the drum 2 is stopped. |
