PURPOSE:To accurately read images of plural originals at a high speed by providing an original travel system, which reads an image on a moving original at a specific position by utilizing an optical member as part of a scanning system, in combination. CONSTITUTION:When the image on the original is read by a normal scanning system, the original is mounted and fixed on an original platen and the image begins to be read by the scanning system at a 1st position indicating one area C on the platen 16 and is formed on a photosensitive drum 7. Then when the image on the original 9 is read by an original travel system, mirrors 1a, 2a, and 3a are moved to positions shown by solid lines and fixed. Then the original 9 is fed from a paper feed tray 13 and moved at a constant speed on the platen 16 by utilizing a roller 10 and a conveyor belt 12. At this time, an image which is lighted by a lighting system 15 and passes a read position B is formed on the photosensitive body 7 sequentially through an image forming lens 5 and a 4th mirror 6. |
