SHOCK ABSORBER OIL COMPOSITION

摘要

PURPOSE:To suppress effectively swishing without spoiling various characteristics as a shock absorber oil by incorporating a specified amount of a polymethacrylate compd. with a specified mol.wt. in a base oil with a specified viscosity. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber oil compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 1.0wt.% or more (in terms of polymer concn.) of a single component or a mixture of a polymethacrylate and a polymethacrylate-polystyrene copolymer with a wt.- average mol.wt. of 250,000 or larger in a single or mixed base oil of a mineral or a synthetic oil with a dynamic viscosity of 0.5-10cSt at 100 deg.C. By using this compsn., it is possible to control effectively swishing of a shock absorber which has not been eleminated hitherto without spoiling various characteristics as a shock absorber oil.
