<p>PURPOSE:To improve editing accuracy by covering the drop of editing accuracy generated by a difference in a rise time generated due to a difference in a production lot of reproducing and recording apparatuses or mechanical accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The reproducing/recording device has the 1st memory 8 storing response time for starting a reproducing VTR 1 and the 2nd memory 9 storing response time for starting a recording VTR 2 and a control state from the VTR 1 the VTR 2 is controlled by a control means 3 based upon the response time values stored in the 1st and 2nd memories 8, 9. Thus, the dispersion of starting time from a reproducing pause state PB-P or a recording pause state REC-P up to reproducing or recording is compensated by the memories previously storing the mechanical dispersion of the VTRs 1, 2. Consequently, an EDIT-IN starting position and an EDIT-OT stopping position can be accurately determined.</p> |
