MANUFACTURE OF DECORATIVE PANEL

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable product by providing the strong adhesion on between a resin surface and coating by molding a resin material on the required parts of the cut end part, surface and rear of a base material in required shapes by a casting method and grinding the required places of the molded parts and applying coating to the required places of the outer surface part of the formed decorative panel containing the ground parts. CONSTITUTION:A decorative sheet 2 is laminated to a wooden material 1 such as a particle board or a medium fiberboard to form a base material 3. Molded members 4, 4' composed of a synthetic resin material having required shapes are formed on the required parts of the cut end, surface and rear of the base material by a casting method using a casting mold. Grinding is applied to the decorative panel taken out of the casting mold. The place where grinding is applied may be extended over the whole of the decorative panel and the whole of the molded parts or only an especially complicated curved surface part among the molded parts is appropriately selected if necessary. After coating 15 is applied to the decorative panel wherein grinding is applied to necessary places. By this method, a decorative panel wherein a smooth surface is provided and the boundaries of the cast parts and the base material part are inconspicuous and the coating is sufficiently and closely bonded to the molded surface of a resin even in the case of a complicated curved surface is obtained.
