PURPOSE:To prepare the title sheet while maintaining the excellent properties, such as a high resistance to impact and heat, inherent in an arom. polycarbonate resin by compounding the resin with a specific thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:90-95wt.% arom. polycarbonate resin (pref. one obtd. by reacting bisphenol A with phosgene and having repeating units of the formula and a mol.wt. of 20000-30000) is compounded with 5-10wt.% thermoplastic polyester obtd. by the polycondensation of a diol component comprising 1,4- cyclohexanedimethanol and other glycols (e.g. ethylene glycol) with a six- membered carbocyclic dicarboxylic acid (e.g. terephthalaic acid) to give the title sheet, which has an improved vacuum forming properties while maintaining the excellent properties, such as a high resistance to impact and heat, inherent in the polycarbonate resin. |
