<p>A traffic flow monitor apparatus (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) which can grasp traffic jams and accidents by utilizing a vehicle sensor (11) disposed on the road. Since the present apparatus monitors the changes of the traffic flow based on the speeds of individual vehicles and the distances between vehicles, the apparatus can monitor the positional relation between vehicles, and can quickly detect traffic accidents or the like by detecting the change in relative speed of vehicles in adjacent lanes at each measuring point.</p> |
