PURPOSE:To improve the workability of abandonning a waste developer and a waste toner by providing waste toner conveying means to convey the waste toner from a cleaning device to a collecting container while freely attachably and detachably mounting the collecting container for collecting the waste devel oper to a developing device. CONSTITUTION:A collecting container 30 for collecting the waste developer is freely attachably and detachably mounted to a developing device 5, and a waste toner conveying means 31 is provided to convey the waste toner from a cleaning device 7 to the collecting container 30. After electrostatic development, the residual toner (waste toner) on a photosensitive body 2 is conveyed from the cleaning device 7 to the collecting container 30 by the waste toner conveying means 31. When the service life of the developer in the developing device 5 is exhausted, this waste developer is collected from the developing device 5 to the collecting container 30. Thus, since the waste developer and the waste toner can be automatically collected by one container 30, the workability can be improved for the processing of abandonning the waste toner and the waste developer. |
