<p>An electronic still video camera in which the colour balance is controlled by opening the shutter and exposing the image sensor, deriving from the image sensor output separated colour signals, and integrating the signals over the entire picture, to derive a measure of the colour balance of the picture which is then used to control the colour balance of a further exposure operation used to record a picture. The effects of electrical noise and/or drift are eliminated by deriving a measure of the magnitude of the noise and/or drift and subtracting this from the integrated colour signals before they are used to control the colour balance. <IMAGE></p> |
