PURPOSE:To use an existing cylinder block with no change, cool it with unheated cooling water, and detect the defective circulation of cooling water by connecting a cooling case to a water measuring pipe branched from a cooling water feed passage for cooling cylinders, and fitting a temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:A series of water jackets 7 surround cylinders, and cooling water flows upward from the lower section to cool the cylinders 6. An existing water measuring passage branched from a cooling water guide port section 8 is provided. Part of the cooling water fed to water jackets 7 is fed to a cooling case 12 via a water measuring pipe 9, and it is flooded in a discharge pipe 16 and discharged from a water measuring port 17. The cooling water is brought into contact with radiating fins 11 in the cooling case 12 for heat exchange to strongly cool a rectifier 10. When the temperature of the cooling water in the cooling case 12 rises abnormally, a temperature sensor 18 detects this abnormality and outputs it to an ignition control unit 19, and a CDI unit 20 is controlled to forcefully reduce the rotating speed. A buzzer 21 is concurrently rung to inform an operator of the abnormality. |
