<p>The invention relates to a manually operated work tool, especially a chain saw (10). The tool is driven by a high-speed 2-stroke internal combustion engine (11) with direct fuel injection. Means (24, ..., 28) are provided for lubricating the 2-stroke internal combustion engine (11) separately, said means continually supplying the 2-stroke internal combustion engine (11) with lubricant from a lubricant tank (29). The lubricant should be supplied to the tool quickly and in such a way that it can be very efficiently metered. To this end, the lubricating means comprise a feed pump (26) and a metering pump (25). The feed pump (26) extracts the lubricant from the lubricant tank (29) and pumps it back into the same in a circuit, with a first pump capacity, whilst the metering pump (25) extracts the lubricant from the circuit with a second pump capacity which is markedly lower than the first pump capacity, and conveys it to the 2-stroke internal combustion engine (11).</p> |
