PURPOSE:To stably eject ink from the start even when recording is conducted after a recorder is left to stand to perform a high-quality recording by providing an energy increase means for increasing an initial eject energy for a next recording to be more than a normal delivery energy after a non-recording state continues for a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:A normal drive pulse has a width of 10musec. at a voltage 20V. In a recording state after a non-recording state continues for 20 minutes, a first drive pulse has a width of 15musec. at a voltage 20V. In this manner, a sufficiently stable delivery can be conducted. By setting the first ejecting pulse width to such a value as shown by a graph in accordance with a left time (a non-recording time), a stable ejection can be conducted. Alternatively, in some case, a first ejection pulse width may be preset to a fixed value which is longer than a value required for a maximum left time, and a first ejection may be conducted under control with the fixed pulse width regardless of a left time. |
