摘要 PURPOSE:To solve the problem of the deterioration in the convergence property of the turning motion of a vehicle on the low-mu road surface by providing a lateral acceleration selecting means selecting the lateral acceleration to be used for the torque distribution control between the right and left wheels from the measured lateral acceleration and the calculated lateral acceleration. CONSTITUTION:A torque distribution changing means 10 adjusting the transfer quantity of the engine output to four wheels 6-9 to change the torque distribution controls brake devices 11-14 provided on the wheels 6-9 respectively to adjust the torque transfer quantity. A torque distribution control means 17 sets the torque distribution ratio between the left wheels 6, 8 and the right wheels 7, 9 in response to the lateral acceleration of a vehicle and controls the torque distribution changing means 10. A lateral acceleration calculating means 18 calculat ing the lateral acceleration to be generated on a vehicle based on the steering angle and vehicle speed obtained by a steering angle sensor 40 and a vehicle speed sensor 46 and a selecting means 19 of the lateral acceleration to be used for the control are provided in addition to a lateral acceleration sensor 41, and the lateral acceleration selecting means 19 selects the lateral acceleration to be used for the torque distribution control of the right and left wheels between the measured lateral acceleration and the calculated lateral accelera tion.
