The invention concerns a device for peeling and preparing eye-irritating vegetables such as onions and leeks. Said device consists of a heating aspirator (1), like a hair drier fan, comprising at its periphery a surface (4b) for channelling the volatile eye-irritating particles suspended in the air. A support frame (3) enables to maintain and adjust the heating aspirator (1) position relative to the working area (2).
