<p>PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for working a central processing unit (CPU) by dynamically changing the operational environment of the CPU corresponding to the acceleration or the like of the CPU. CONSTITUTION:An electronic computer 100 is equipped with a register 106 and a writing means 107. The contents written in the register 106 are transmitted to a clock generator 104 so as to decide a clock to be dispatched to a CPU 100. On the other hand, the register 106 is reloadable from the CPU 101 through the write means 107 at arbitrary timing, therefore, the CPU 101 can set the operational speed by itself. Thus, the efficiency for working the CPU 101 can be improved, and the interruption of a program caused by the erroneous selection of the operational speed can be prevented.</p> |
