PURPOSE: To exclude air from a mat of resin impregnated fibers by simultaneously reciprocally driving first and second carriage means so that forces acting on a frame 31 are negated mutually accompanied by the conversion of the moving directions of the first and second carriage means. CONSTITUTION: An impregnation apparatus 14 is suspended from a frame 31 through a suspension structure 36 and a roll 38 of a glass fiber mat impregnated with a proper resin is mounted on the impregnation apparatus. The mat 40 impregnated with the resin falls from the impregnation apparatus 14 accompanied by the parallel advance of a gathering device 12 along the total length of a mold 20 in the direction shown by an arrow 42 to be mated with the upper surface of the mold 20. A rollout apparatus 10 includes the rollers 50, 52 attached to shaking carriages 54, 56 and the carriages 54, 56 are reciprocally moved by a drive mechanism 58 so that the rollers are reciprocally moved on the impregnated mat in both directions in matching relation to the movement of the gathering device 12 along the mold 20. By this constitution, air bubbles are removed from the impregnated mat and the mat is closely brought into contact with the mold accurately. |
