PURPOSE:To eliminate the introduction of a foreign material between a slider and a scale by fixing a dustproof belt to the slider so as to cover the scale. CONSTITUTION:A roll 2 is pivotally secured to the slider 1 of a linear motor on which a coil is wound, a control pulse is applied to a scale 3 made of permanent magnet, and the scale is stepwisely advanced in the direction of the arrow A. A dustproof belt 4 engaged via tension rollers 6 to enclose the scale 3 in the moving direction is mounted at each of both ends of the slider 1. In this manner, it can eliminate the introduction of a foreign material between the slider and the scale, thereby improving the reliability. |
