PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of fixation in an optical printer by stopping a belt and a scarf roller if the paper feeding speed is pin tractor almost equal to the peripheral speed of the roller, and also turning off the flash lamp of a fixing part. CONSTITUTION:When the fold-back of a sheet is occurred during printing, there is no change in the feeding of the sheet as long as the fold back of the sheet is present on any place from the sheet hoppr 2 to the arrangement part 18 of the belt 3. When the fold-back of the sheet is moved downstream from the arrangement part 18, the pressing in the fold-back part is lost. Therefore, only the printing sheet 1 positioned downstream from the arrangement part 18 is carried to the side of a sheet stacker 9 according to the pripheral speed V2 of the roller 8 while spreading the overlapping part. At this time, the feeding speed Vd of the printing sheet 1 becomes almost equal to the peripheral speed V2 of the roller 8, the abnormal-feeding speed detecting circuit outputs a stop instruction signal. A flash lamp control circuit for which the stop instruction signal is inputted turns off the flash lamp 6a to stop the fixing operation of the fixing part. A sheet feeding control circuit stops the belt 3 and the roller 8 to stop the carrying operation for the printing sheet 1. |
