<p>PURPOSE:To apply the consistency of a captain terminal to new service by connecting a decoding part decoding a compressed picture data and a data conversion part supplying the bit length of this decoded picture data to the video RAM of a main body part while compressing it by the cut of the low- order bit and converting it to a lookup table(LUT) entry address in freely attachably and detachably in construction. CONSTITUTION:A variable-length data held in a data RAM 13 is read out in a variable-length decode decoding part 31 of a discrete cosine transforming- scalar quantizing (DCT-SQ) expansion part 24 while segmented by one data, and converted to a fixed length quantization step. A color picture element data group after color conversion is compressed by bit length by the cut of the low-order bit in a bit cutting part 35. Respective R, G, and B picture element data with 4 bits are converted to the entry address of a captain system color lookup table(LUT) in a color address conversion part 36 of the final step. The picture element data converted by data format is written in a PDI surface memory 20 through a display control part 17.</p> |
