NOZZLE FOR CASTING WIDE AND THIN SLAB

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a nozzle having excellent durability by adding the specific vol% of CaO.ZrO2 fiber to raw material of the nozzle for casting containing zirconia-graphite as the essential component. CONSTITUTION:In the raw material for casting containing the zirconia-graphite as the essential component, the CaO.ZrO2 fiber is added at 5-20 vol% to manufacture the nozzle for casting a wide and thin slab. The added CaO.ZrO2 fiber is made to have 1-6mum fiber diameter and 60-150mum fiber length. By this method, the nozzle having high bending strength, high breaking energy and high heat impact resistance can be provided.
