PURPOSE:To produce easily the fiber-mixed roller in which short fibers are orientated in radius direction by a method in which short fiber-mixed elastomer is passed in radius direction through thin annular space, and is fed into the annular space corresponding to the roll part molded on the periphery of a shaft member. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed amount of polyester short fiber 4 is mixed with known rubber compound, and short fiber-mixed elastomer E is produced. A shaft member 2 is fitted into a mold 11, and after the elastomer E has been preheated, it is sent into annular space 13a from a film gate 16 through a feeding path 15 and an annular path 15a. When the elastomer E passes the film gate 16, it receives shearing force, and the short fibers are orientated in flowing direction. When a filmlike sheet is sent, the sheet buckles and flows in the radius direction of the annular space 13a, and is laminated, whereby the orientation direction of the short fibers 4 coincides with the radius direction. When the elastomer E moves upward in the annular space 13a, the orientation of the short fibers 4 of the part brought in contact with the inner surface of the mold 11 and the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member 2 is changed again in the direction of the shaft member by the slip-resistance of the elastomer E. |
