A multinetwork telephone set, comprising a discrimination and acquisition circuit (3) which is adapted to receive in input the telephone number that the user wishes to call and to determine whether connection with a telephone network of a private operator is possible, the discrimination and acquisition circuit (3) being connected to a modulation and demodulation circuit (5) which is in turn connected to the national telephone network (7); the discrimination and acquisition circuit (3) being suitable to add or not to the telephone number dialed by the user the identification code of the private operator through which the user wishes to route the call; the discrimination and acquisition circuit (3) comprising at least one static memory (4) which is suitable to contain data related to one or more private telephone network operators with the corresponding rates in relation to the different time-of-day bands and to be scanned in order to determine the cheapest rate on the basis of the time-of-day band in which the user wishes tomake a call, in order to select the private operator offering the best rate. |
