The invention relates to a curtain wall. The curtain wall consists of plates which are arranged in a plane, and it is characterised in that the plates (5) are mounted dry, and in that profiles (9) of elastic material are interposed horizontally between the plates in order to transfer and distribute the weight of the plates. The invention is applied in particular for using the curtain wall as a facing, especially in front of a wall structure to which the curtain wall is joined. <IMAGE>
