The invention relates to a device for channelling without pressure for containers, such as bottles or the like, comprising a feed conveyor with multiple paths serving a channelled conveyor in which the said containers are intended to be engaged one behind the other. This device is characterised in that it includes, between the said feed conveyor (3) and the channelled conveyor (7), an intermediate conveyor (20) forming, with respect to the latter, an angle A (21), of the order of 20 to 40 DEG and including a width L (35) respecting the following equation: L = ((n - 1). D. cosA) + D + C in which L = width of the intermediate conveyor n = number of channels D = diameter of the containers A = angle formed by the intermediate conveyor with respect to the channelled conveyor C = required operating clearance.
