PURPOSE:To easily obtain a good image with a stable density by developing by providing a toner quantity detection sensor which detects the toner quantity inside a tank while the separate toner replenishing tank is inserted in a developing device where the toner replenishing tank provided with a replenishing means is connected. CONSTITUTION:The second toner replenishing tank 16 is used for the replenishing tank for directly replenishing toner T inside a developing container 4, and the first toner replenishing tank 6 is used for a storage tank of the toner T. Then, the toner T is replenished inside the replenishing tank 16 from the replenishing tank 6 based on the detected result of the toner quantity inside the replenishing tank 16 by the toner detection sensor 13, and the toner T is replenished inside the developing container 4 from the replenishing tank 16 based on the toner density detection result of the two component developer D inside the developing container 4 by the toner density detection sensor 9. Furthermore, when detection is made at the toner detection sensor 9 and the toner T is replenished inside the developing container 4 from the replenishing tank 6, the toner N inside the replenishing tank 6 is agitated by an agitator and made to flow. |
