1-HYDROXYINDOLE FUNGICIDES 1-Hydroxyindoles of the following formula are useful in controlling fungi: wherein: R1 is hydrogen or an electron withdrawing group, R2 is selected from the group consisting of an alkenyl having 2-10 carbon atoms, a N-substituted- .alpha.-iminobenzyl, an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic group and an acyl of 2-16 carbon atoms, R3 is selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, and n is an integer from 0 to 4.
