PURPOSE:To accomplish a battery with an improved low temp. characteristics which operates stably at a low temp. by forming at least one of the neg. electrode, pos. electrode, and separator from a solid electrolyte obtained by doping ionic compound in a specific organic polymer. CONSTITUTION:A battery concerned is formed in such an arrangemenet that at least one of the neg. electrode, pos. electrode, and separator is made of a solid electrolyte obtained by doping ionic compound in an organic polymer, which is produced by subjecting an organic compound having a skeleton as expressed by a general formula Z-[(A)m-Y]k to a bridging reaction, where Z is residual radical of compound containing active hydrogen, Y is active hydrogen radical or polimerizing reactive functional radical, m is integer between 1-250, k is integer between 1-12, and A represents the general formula I. In this formula, n is integer between 1-25, and R is alkyl radical,alkenyl radical, aryl radical, or alkylaryl radical having a carbon number of 1-20, or such solid electrolyte may contain a substance which can dissolve the ionic compound included in the organic polymer. Inclusion of this sort of substance will enhance the conductivity remarkably without varying the fundamental skeleton of the organic polymer. |
