<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory picture free from noise or the like across tracks by special reproducing like still picture reproducing or slow reproducing by controlling the rotation of a capstan motor and the offset applied voltage to a mobile head based on a track division discrimination signal at the time of reproducing. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing head moved in the direction perpendicular to the track direction, a reproduced signal demodulating means 8, a reproduced level detecting means, a division state discrimination signal detecting means 9 which detects the division state by the output of the demodulating means, a running direction detecting means 5 which detects the running direction of a tape, and a running speed detecting means 6 which detects the running speed of the tape are provided. A means is provided which generates a compensation signal, which compensates the deviation of the reproducing head from a video signal recording track due to the change of the running speed of the tape, and adds an offset value corresponding to the value of the division state discrimination signal to the compensation signal to obtain a control signal and controls the reproducing head by the control signal. Thus, special reproducing like still picture reproducing is realized even in the case of a VTR where the video signal of one field is divided and recorded on plural tracks.</p> |
