<p>PURPOSE:To uniformize a printing quality by a method wherein printing arrays having the average of printing outputs within a predetermined range are divided into groups, and the value of an impedance element is determined so as to pass an electric current for obtaining a predetermined printing output from the printing element of the array. CONSTITUTION:A fixed electric current is individually applied to LED elements contained in a number of arrays A1 - A40 by a light-emitting output measuring means 234 to drive the LED elements. The average light emitting output of the LED element is found by calculation. The values are divided into groups for every 5% and contained in a tray 235. A resistor 210 is connected to constant current sources F1 - F64 contained in each semiconductor integrated circuit 202. The average of the electric current value is measured by an average current measuring means 236. The values are divided into groups for every 5% and contained in a tray 237. To obtain a predetermined required light-emitting output using the arrays A1 - A40, a resistance setting means 238 selects one of the integrated circuits 202 in the tray 237, finds a resistance value of a resistor 210 to be connected to the constant current sources F1 - F64 based on a corresponding table, and selects it from a tray 239.</p> |
