<p>A self-emulsifying resin or rosin composition and a process for the production thereof, which composition comprises as a main component rosin, or a derivative thereof, or a hydrocarbon resin based on C5 to C9 hydrocarbons, or a mixture of these, and that it further comprises a reaction product of an ethoxylated phosphorus containing surface active compound and a base. The phosphorus containing surface active compound is an organic phosphate ester and the base is a nitrogen containing base. The composition is used as a tackifier composition for adhesives.</p> |
