<p>Method for the preparation of monomers including at least one polymerisable carbonyloxyvinyl group of a saccharide selected amongst mono-, di- and trisaccharides, particularly amongst non reducer mono-, di- and trisaccharides, comprising the reaction in aqueous medium of said saccharide with an esterifying reagent containing said polymerisable carbonyloxyvinyl group in the presence of a base while maintaining the pH of the reaction medium to a value ranging from 7 to 11 throughout the reaction time duration. Saccharide monomers comprising at least one polymerisable carbonyloxyvinyl group having a controlled substitution degree are disclosed.</p> |
