The steering-column switch has a manual switching lever to operate a change-over cam belonging to a stepped switching mechanism and to operate an extra switch. The latter is of snap-action type. The switching mechanism (12) and the extra switch are controlled together via a plunger (60) moved by the switching lever (14).The plunger moves linearly in a casing part (10) and is acted on by a spring (63). A second spring (56) acts on the changemover cam (41) of the mechanism (12). The plunger has a blocking projection (65) for the swithcing piece (26) of the snap-action switch.
