PURPOSE:To obtain the device which is compact and good in efficiency by providing the compartment walls to form a curved water channel between an inlet of water and an outlet thereof and making the height of the compartment walls lower than the height of reference packing of an ion exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Since water stored in a water receiving part 27 flows through a curved water channel 19 while this water is brought into contact with ion exchange resin 12, the contact time is sufficiently prolonged. While utilizing a comparatively small-sized ion exchanger 11, sufficient purification capacity is obtained. Further since the height (h) of an outside compartment wall 17 and an inside compartment wall 18 which form the curved water channel 19 is made lower than the height H of reference packing of ion exchange resin 12, water flows while being brought into contact with ion exchange resin 12 and one part of water exceeds the compartment walls 17, 18 and flows. Accordingly the resistance of water passage is relaxed and shortage of water supply is not caused. Sufficient water consumption suitable for practical use is secured. |
