<p>An apparatus for recording analysis of a reagent test strip having a plurality of color blocks (5) for testing different constituents of a fluid, comprises a reference panel (4) having a plurality of visually distinguishable and calibrated color areas or spots (5), a plurality of parameter lights (3) for designating the testing of a different constituent or parameter, a plurality of level lights (6) each located adjacent to a different color spot, a cavity or space (8) adjacent groups of color spots (5), an optical detector or photointerruptor (7) for detecting the presence of the reagent strip positioned in the space, and a microcomputer for recording and storing test results and having a directing element (1) for directing sequential testing of the different parameters and also for turning the lights on and off during the sequential testing. The apparatus includes a momentary switch (2) for signaling the microcomputer to record and store the test data and for turning the apparatus on and off. The invention includes a process for operating the apparatus.</p> |
