The floating caliper for partially lined disc brakes is mounted axially displaceable on a brake support and is tensioned against same by a housing retaining spring. The outer arm of the caliper has at its open end at least one projection (13,14,15) on which the housing retaining spring (3) is locked by engagement against axial displacements relative to the caliper. The projection(s) is/are moulded by casting and can extend radially inwards from the radially inner side of the axially outer arm of the caliper. USE/ADVANTAGE - The spring in the floating brake caliper for a vehicle is fixed in its correct position secured against falling out.
