<p>In such a vehicle both the central locking installation and the theft alarm system are controlled by a control device (2) shared by both systems which monitors the systems in the operative state. The locking and unlocking of all the vehicle's locks or doors are monitored via additional switch contacts (14). A distinction is made between at least three operative states and indication is provided by optically differentiable flashing signals by electrooptical indicators (6) in the door locking buttons.</p>
