A safety device for gas pipelines, comprising an inflatable bag (5), confined to a predetermined expansion area by a reinforced fabric (2), connected by means of a pyrotechnical device (4) with a high pressure vessel (7). The safety device may be applied around or inside a pipeline (9), and is activated by remote control, preferably coded, thus causing direct connection between the inflatable bag (5) and the high pressure vessel (7). The safety device is suitable for pipelines with substantial diameter, such as 50-100 cm. |
