A film cassette (1) comprises a film spool (5) supported inside a lighttight cassette shell (3) for rotation to thrust a filmstrip (F) coiled about the spool to the exterior of the shell whether the filmstrip is unexposed or is only partly exposed, and a film exposure status indicator (121) supported for movement relative to the shell (3) from an unexposed position to respective partly exposed and fully exposed positions for providing visible indications that the filmstrip is only partly exposed or is substantially exposed. According to the invention, the shell (3) includes respective indicia indicating that the filmstrip is only partly exposed and is substantially exposed and respective windows (107, 109) located proximate the indicia, and the status indicator (121) is configured in relation to the windows to be visible at the window (107) proximate the indicia indicating that the filmstrip is only partly exposed when the indicator is in its partly exposed position and to be visible at the window (109) proximate the indicia indicating that the filmstrip is substantially exposed when the indicator is in its fully exposed position. <IMAGE> |
